We worked with a manufacturer of exercise equipment to design and manufacture their first fitness PC used to control the equipment, provide television, internet connectivity, Apple iPod/iPhone integration and integration with fitness club provided content.
We coordinated the mechanical design to an aggressively thin/sleek profile to fit with the overall machine design. The computing hardware was designed to meet cost and supply chain goals to be competitive in the market while maintaining quality and consistency over the estimated 3 year shipping life. The computing design was also coordinated with a third party developer of software and content to minimize changes and resolve technical issues.
