EmbedTek engaged with the OEM provider of a AV recorder and streaming device. That device incorporates video capturing of several formats and connectors system board capabilities augmented with application specific video capture cards.
The small form factor of the device creates a challenging thermal, electrical and mechanical packaging envelope. We worked with our customer to improve the reliability by simplifying the design, using best of breed component suppliers and design practices. The mechanical design was coordinated with customer designed plastics that act as the shell, handle and provide the look and feel desired.
