EmbedTek creates, designs, and builds embedded computers, software, sensors, cameras, and displays for original equipment manufacturers. Some customers engage us to develop a new product, some to improve on an existing one. All of our customers are driven by the opportunity to solve end user problems with technology. Throw any challenge at us, from demanding environment and ergonomic requirements to High Level Assembly and nonstandard I/O. We’ll evaluate it, carefully attack it, and solve it.

SABOT EMBEDDED PC

Our Sabot line of Embedded Computers are primarily small form factor systems with standard and customer specific I/O cards and/or custom PCBs. They ship incorporated into equipment and are usually protected from heat, shock, vibration and other forces to ensure reliable operation.

SABOT 3025

Medical Audio Encoder

This rugged, small form factor PC provides a professional-quality solution for multiple recording/playback situations. It accepts several different IP and analog video inputs as well as XLR audio with phantom power.

PERFORMANCE CHARACTERISTICS:
Intel® Core™ i7 processor with different audio/visual options for flexible image grabbing and encoding. Base configuration uses COTS components and accepts four IP video (power over Ethernet) inputs plus a fifth input (analog or digital). Balanced XLR audio includes on-board phantom power. Space for two hard drives.

Hybrid Video Recorder

This set-top video recorder combines high performance and a very small footprint. COTS components ensure that components will be available for a long time. Developed for a customer to complement their line of video editing appliances.

PERFORMANCE CHARACTERISTICS:
Two independent video inputs (DVI shown in picture above). Also available, VGA and HDMI as options. Audio input is via “line in” to the system board. Storage includes a single 1TB hard drive. Other storage capacity and technology options are available including Solid State Drive (SSD).

This customer needed a new appliance to maintain leadership in a fast-changing marketplace, something that they could take to market quickly but which allowed for a long-lived upgrade strategy.

This hybrid system accepts input from analog or IP cameras, then provides flexible options for signal processing and storage. It would be appropriate for any type of desktop security/surveillance system.

Embedded Computer

This fanless PC was designed as an embedded appliance for industrial and security applications. It up to 8 incoming streams of data through on board and integrated I/O.

This system captures up to eight incoming streams of data through onboard and integrated I/O. The ventilated chassis allows silent, fanless operation. The current product is an embedded appliance for industrial and security applications, but it can be used in a variety of multimedia applications.

PERFORMANCE CHARACTERISTICS:
Supports Intel® Atom™ processor. Small system is designed to collect up to six different video inputs using PCI-E add-in adapters.

data Recorder

This image capture platform was designed to support real time monitoring of multiple simultaneous audio and HD video streams via a networked API for the military simulation market. This is a software and hardware solution tailored to interface with our customer’s core application.

This system provides real-time multiple audio and HD video streams via a networked API. The COTS components are optimized for the customer’s application-specific software (a military simulation system), but it could be configured for any type of image capture application.

PERFORMANCE CHARACTERISTICS:
The platform uses dual Intel® Xeon™processors to support real-time pass-through, as well as playback, recording and bookmarking of up to 5 concurrent audio and 24-bit 1280×1024 video streams at 30 frames per second.

ERGONOMICS:
The 4U chassis supports a variety of drive configurations with options for fixed or removable drive bays.

This embedded image capture platform was designed for mobile industrial inspection environments.

This system is a flexible tool for capturing and recording high-quality video. It is used in a mobile industrial inspection appliance, but it could be used for any type of high-performance graphics application.

PERFORMANCE CHARACTERISTICS:
Supports various Intel® processors ranging from Celeron™ to the latest Tenth Generation processors. Thermal management can handle high performance PCI-E x16 graphics cards and other custom I/O cards that require good airflow.

ERGONOMICS:
The short depth 3U chassis and is well ventilated, improving both thermal and acoustic performance. It supports several full length I/O cards and multiple disk drives.

BURKE IMAGE GENERATOR

Our Burke line of Image Generators are used by medical and military OEMs for applications involving large amounts of video and/or data. These systems often support high-performance GPUs or other customer-specific add-in cards; for that reason, they often incorporate additional mechanical supports and are packaged in a small, reliable form factor.

This system features a flexible architecture built around COTS components. We took an opening in a customer’s upgrade path to design a new system from the ground up, extending system performance and matching demanding fit and trim requirements with a custom form factor.

This high-performance video capture system provides real-time vision as well as record/playback. It is designed to fit a particular customer’s slim line cart, and is ideal wherever a high-performance system needs to fit into a limited physical space.

PERFORMANCE CHARACTERISTICS:
COTS system is designed for high throughput of multiple video formats. Supports latest Tenth Generation Intel® CPU and multiple high-performance graphics processors. Typically used with HD imaging in a medical cart or similar enclosure.

High Density

This image generation platform increases GPU rack density for simulators and other graphics-intensive applications.

This system is just 8 3/8″ wide, so it can be installed as a single, small form factor device or side-by-side in 3U of rack space. That makes it ideal for military simulators or medical cart applications which require increased IG/GPU density. It features flow-through cooling and rugged design, and can support multiple GPU options and high performance processors.

PERFORMANCE CHARACTERISTICS:
Supports the latest Tenth Generation processors and high performance GPU’s. Rugged design with supports for high-mass graphics cards. Carefully-designed cooling allows for higher power components while maintaining a relatively low acoustic output..

Mobile Simulation

This image generation platform was designed for mobile military simulation markets. The rugged chassis design protects high end GPUs from heavy shock and vibration.

This image generation platform supports COTS motherboards and high-performance GPUs without a riser, for inherent protection against heavy shock and vibration. This system is ideal for military simulation applications and other situations where a high performance computer must stand up to tough treatment in transport and during operation.

PERFORMANCE CHARACTERISTICS:
The platform offers a mix of CPU and GPU options supporting configurations up to Tenth Generation Intel® processors and high performance video adapters. This allows simulated audio and video stream of 24-bit color and 1280×1024 resolution at 30fps.

ERGONOMICS:
The 3U high, limited-width chassis allows full height GPUs to be integrated without the use of a riser, improving the durability of the platform. Overall dimensions: 12 ½” (317mm) W x 5” (127mm) H x 14 ¾” (375mm) D.

Custom display for use with automated teller machines, currency and coin counting equipment and similar applications.

The screens are incorporated into banking equipment used in financial institutions and gaming facilities. The equipment is certified and regulated by those relevant bodies.
